Fifty Nifty Things About Buzzard

Terryn over at Faith, Family and Beef tagged me in this Fifty Nifty Things challenge. I am not sure if this information is nifty to anyone but it will give you insight to the woman behind the blog. Some of this will surprise you, I promise.

1. Are you a morning or night person? Hoo-hoo not chirp-chirp
2. Do you prefer, sweet or salty foods? Sweet, far and away. I got my sweet tooth from my Papaw Buzzard, by way of my dad and it’s about the size of my thumb.
3. Ninjas or pirates? Ninjas (duh!)
4. Ninjas vs pirates, discuss… I loved the Ninja Turtles growing up (I had the backpack, the lunchbox, I wanted to be Raphael) and now that I call my hub the Ninja, well this is an obvious choice. Sidenote, did you all know that the Ninja Turtles are named after famous painters? All four of them!
5. Autobots or Decepticons? I have no idea what that means
6. What was your favorite childhood television program? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… heroes in a half shell, turtle power!
7. Are you a collector of anything? I am always on the prowl for old vinyl records
8. If you could be any animal, what would you be? A bird of some sort. Or a whale. I love to explore the unknown.
9. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? To be in more than one place at the same time. I have serious FOMO.
10. What is usually your first thought when you wake up? Why didn’t I go to bed earlier?!
11. What do you usually think about right before falling asleep? I have a real bad habit of falling asleep while I’m saying my prayers…
12. What’s your favorite color? Green. Closely followed by purple.
13. What’s your favorite animal? Horse.
14. Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets? Nah
15. Do you believe in ghosts? Not really but I haven’t done much research on them either. Also, I hate scary movies.
16. Ever been addicted to a video/computer game? Which one(s)? At various stages of life I have been addicted to gaming consoles – in middle school it was Mario Bros on Super Nintendo, then in college it was Guitar Hero on the Wii and my current guilty pleasure is Farm Heroes Saga on my phone.
17. If you were given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on? Pay off my student loans and the ranch, buy more horses and cows, help my family and friends.
18. Have any bad habits? Speaking before I think
19. Which bad habits, if any, drive you crazy? People who interrupt (I HATE THIS), chronic snooze-button-pushers
20. List 3 of your best personality traits: Tenacity, passion, honesty
21. List 3 of your worst personality traits: Being too blunt, occasional temper, procrastination
22. Have any celebrity crushes? Johnny Freaking Depp
23. List 1 thing you wish you could change about yourself: I wish my facial expressions didn’t ALWAYS give away what I was thinking.
24. Any tattoos or piercings? Both. Two tattoos, one on each set of ribs and my ears are pierced (does that even count?)
25. What’s the first thing you notice in the opposite sex? Personality – is he polite or is he more of a cocky jerkwad?
26. What’s your dream date? A fabulous meal and an activity we both enjoy (cow sale, riding horses in the pasture, competitive sports)
27. What personality traits do you look for in a partner? Honesty. Compassion. A sense of humor. The ability to be flexible.
28. What personality traits do you dislike in other people? Dishonesty. Being manipulative or using people. Flaking out.
29. Do you see yourself getting married in the next 5 years? Negative.
30. Are you mostly a clean or messy person? Clean, to a point. I’m not a clean freak but I need some order in the house.
31. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Right here on our ranch.
32. If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would go back to Australia in a heartbeat. And then on to Italy (again)
33. List 5 goals on your life’s to-do list: Be a Proverbs 31 woman. Grow the ranch so that I can stay home and raise cattle, ride horses and take care of kiddos. Live a life that inspires others. Win a saddle. Retire in Kansas.
34. Name 1 regret you have: None, honestly.
35. Name 1 thing you miss about being a kid: My parents making sure I had great horses.
36. Name 1 thing you love about being an adult: No one is making me eat vegetables anymore.
37. What’s your favorite song of the moment? My Church by Maren Morris
38. What’s your favorite song of all time? If I absolutely have to choose, I choose Old Time Rock n Roll by Bob Seger. But I hate choosing just one.
39. What’s your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night? Enter a rodeo.
40. What’s your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? Go for a relaxing run, ride my horses, work outside.
41. Have any hidden talents? I am really good at doppelgangers; also, I am the queen of “name that band,” classic rock version.
42. You’re about to walk the green mile, what do you have as your last meal? Pizza and a Dr. Pepper
43. What would be your dream job? Full time cowgirl and rancher.
44. Which would you rather have, 100 million dollars or true love? I already have true love so…… I’ll take that 100 mill now.
45. If you could have 3 wishes granted, what would they be? Healthy family. The metabolism of my high-school days. John Wayne as our President.
46. Ever wish you were born the opposite sex? I’ve been a tomboy my whole life. But I’ve also got the whole “strong, opinionated woman” thing going on. I like the combination of those two.
47. Name 1 thing not many people know about you: I’m an introvert – please don’t make me leave my house.
48. If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to? Does it get cooler than Brandi Buzzard? I think not.
49. Do you believe in the afterlife? Heaven is real and it’s waiting.
50. How do you feel about cookies? Give me all of the cookies. Except for oatmal raisin. Those are foul.
